Jerseys

Four Jerseys are presented during a daily ceremony at the end of each stage.

Red Jersey
   
Overall Individual Ranking:

Is awarded to the winner of the overall individual Ranking. This is decided by totaling the time each rider takes on the daily stages in create a cumulative total time over the race. The rider with the lowest overall time at the end of each stage receives a ceremonial red Tour of Oman bicycling jersey and the right to start the next stage of the Tour in this Jersey. This isn't necessarily the winner of the stage (apart from Stage One).


 

Green Jersey
   
Overall Points Ranking:

Is awarded to the rider who is leading the overall points ranking at the end of each stage. Points are awarded to the first
three riders in the 2 intermediate sprints (3 – 2 and 1 point (s) respectively) and to the first ten riders of each stage (15 – 12 –
9 - 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 and 1 point(s) respectively).
   

 

White Jersey
   
Leading Young Rider:

Is awarded to the leading young rider (born on or after 1st January 1987) in the overall individual rankings.
   



Red and Green mix Jersey
   
Leading Young Rider:

is awarded to the most Aggressive cyclist who constantly is attacking throughout the race. This is established by adding together the points obtained in the two intermediate sprints that take place in each stage. Points for the 2 intermediate sprints in each stage are awarded as follows: 3 - 2 and 1 point
(s) to the first 3 riders.
   

 

If a rider is first in several classifications, the order of priority for the wearing of jerseys is as follows:


1. Red Jersey (the general individual time classification);
2. Green Jersey (the general points classification);
3. White Jersey (the young rider classification);
4. Red and Green mix Jersey (the most aggressive rider classification.)
